Local Music

Mike Ricciardi hails from Endicott, NY and has been involved in the music industry playing drums, touring and recording for much of his life. Influenced early on by Alice Cooper, the Monkees, and Rush, he began playing in bands during the 1970's. Largely self taught, he enjoyed the opportunity to study with the prolific session drummer Gary Chester (author of "The New Breed") before moving to NYC. His career has given him some interesting opportunities whether working as a session drummer with indie bands, performing at The Bottom Line, CBGB, or being part of the rhythm section at Le Festival d'été de Québec for multiple artists from abroad. He's filled in for Roger Earl with the British rock band Foghat, backed comedian Howie Mandel and National Steel virtuoso Bob Brozman, performed with wrestlers from the WWF and Sesame Street's Bob McGrath. In 2005 he began working with Joey Molland's Badfinger and continues fill that drum chair.Photo Credit: Unknown To f ind our more about Mike and other local artists, click on the photo above.
